He was overshadowed by Renate Reinsve after the premiere of “The World’s Worst Man”. But now Anders Danielsen Lie is being praised for his role in the film by Time Magazine.
With Oslo’s lowest infection pressure, perhaps the assistant district superintendent in the Nordre Aker district can manage to plow through Time Magazine.
In that case, Anders Danielsen Lie will find themselves on a prestigious list of the ten most impressive acting performances on film in 2021, for his role in Joachim Trier’s “The World’s Worst Man”.
The film got good reviews and starred Renate Reinsve immediate star status when it was taken out to the main competition during the Cannes Film Festival in July. On the Riviera, Reinsve was named best female actress, before the film this autumn was Norway’s Oscar nominee.
But now it’s Danielsen Lie’s turn to be praised for her role as cartoonist Aksel in the third film in the Trier Oslo trilogy.
In the department store’s selection, it is especially the monologues that are highlighted, and means that the district chief is to be found side by side with names such as Will Smith, Benedict Cumberbatch and Daniel Craig – the latter for the role of James Bond in this year’s “No Time to Die”.
