!@#$% on the growing battle between PlayStation and Xbox

Tuesday isn’t Tuesday without a new edition of Peepshow. At least, that’s what Boris and JJ think. And luckily also many premium garments. Then the two gentlemen obediently enter the studio to review business developments within the gaming industry behind the desk. And they do it, as always, in their own way. After all, otherwise it is no longer a Peepshow. In this edition, the two veterans return to talk about the purchase of Activision/Blizzard. And of course on the quarrel between PlayStation and Xbox that this entails. Because whether you like it or not, the city is talked about in the industry and new, often remarkable facts are released week after week. Facts you should discuss like a horsefly in the industry. Then sit back in a chair and watch or listen to Peepshow on Tuesday November 29, 2022.

PlayStation especially fears the transition to a subscription model market

The longer the Activision/Blizzard purchase case goes on, the more startling facts emerge. In addition, the essence of the dispute between PlayStation and Xbox is also becoming clearer. It’s not so much the Call of Duty franchise that’s behind this process. It’s about the transition of the market from a disk on the desktop to an online market where people “rent” games through a subscription model. PlayStation doesn’t like this. Why not, and why they think the deal gives Microsoft an insurmountable advantage in that area, you’ll hear in this edition of the Peepshow.

Did Embracer Group go too fast?

Boris and JJ also briefly talk about the Embracer Group and the problems they are facing in this Peepshow. Why couldn’t they be prevented? You’ll also see and hear these answers in the weekly column on the pros and cons of the video game industry.
