May 4th dayą A start will be given in Alytus 2024-for the season of the Lithuanian “Street Race” championship of the year. The first race of the season is organized here by the well-known and well-known organizing forces of “Jaunasis lečeršinnikas” and “Marimotors Racing” among participants and spectators. A challenging race distance will await the athletes here, and the gathered audience will have a variety of additional entertainment.
After the first event, the teams of the organizers of “Jaunasis lečeršininkas” and “Marimotors Racing” who joined forces in last year’s season, could confidently state that the first pancake was not lit.
For this reason, this year it was decided to hold not one, but three stages of the Lithuanian “Street Race” championship together, which makes up half of the entire season’s calendar. Having decided to realize such an ambition, the organizers baptized their series of stages with the name “Go4Race”, and their long-term partner “Perlas Go” helped their vision become a reality.
As one of the organizers of the competition, Lukas Jaruševičius, who will also take part in this race as a participant, said that all the stages of the season organized by them will take place on city streets. This, according to the organizer, will allow the full implementation of the “Street Race” race format in accordance with all the canons of this discipline. In addition, each of the competitions organized by the Young Racer and Marimotors Racing will feature an abundance of additional events.
“This time, together with the Street Race stage, we are also organizing the Garage Motor Show, an exhibition of exclusive cars. This spectacular event will begin on the eve of the Go4Race and continue throughout Saturday. So, viewers will definitely not have time to get bored.
This car show will be like a performance of different cars. A wide range of vehicles will be on display, from classic American Muscle Cars to the latest sports cars. In addition, various attractions and games will be held during the exhibition, which anyone who wants to can become a part of,” said the organizer of the exhibition, Matas Sakalauskas.
On the 4th of May, the audience will be waiting for not only the exhibition, but also a lot of action on the city streets. This is where the first stage of the Lithuanian “Street Race” championship “Go4Race” will begin.
The organizers of the event estimate that more than six dozen of the fastest drivers of this discipline will start in this high-speed car slalom competition that stretches through the city streets. Their ranks include both champions of previous years and newcomers. One thing is clear already – adrenaline and tension will be in the air, but also in the scoreboards.
“The opening of the racing season is always a big celebration for both the participants themselves and the entire community of this sport. The first competitions of the season usually show trends, possible favorites of the season, the participants replenish their account with the first points of the season. Everyone wants to start the new season as efficiently and successfully as possible, and all this turns into extremely close battles for positions”, said Lukas Jaruševičius, one of the organizers of the competition.
This race will be the first of three that the Young Racer and Marimotors Racing will hold together this season. A little later, another stage is planned in Alytus. It will be a two-day format and will offer entertainment such as a spectator slalom or a “Warm-up” session for the participants of the upcoming competition, where it will be possible to get acquainted with the next day’s race track in combat mode.
This year, “Jaunasis lečeršininkas” and “Marimotors Racing” organizing forces will organize not only the prologue of the “Street Race” season in Aluti, but also the epilogue in Druskininkai. The latter city is celebrating its 230th birthday this year, so the final race of the season held here in the fall will be the cherry on top of the “Druskininkai Tourism Days” series of events and the “Street Race” calendar.
