On the European development of patriotism as a culture of some – 2024-09-23 05:00:23

/ world today news/ The reason for the following lines is the noise, if not militant screams: “Provocation!”, which arose from some around the Day of Bulgarian Enlightenment and Culture and Slavic writing in connection with someone’s exhibition. Because it was not mentioned there, let alone highlighted Bulgaria’s contribution to…!?

For what? For what is well known? Do you think that why it cannot be denied as a historical fact, instead of exalting you because of an inferiority complex, you think that someone has set out to appropriate it as a cultural value? Or do you want to keep to yourself under lock and key only as something of yours and her, and not from the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius as first teachers “your speech is powerful nek is remembered in the Slavs for centuries!”? By the way, none of all the diplomats who offered congratulations on the occasion of the celebration of Bulgarian education and culture, but also of the Slavic script, did not say a word about the issue, because of which the critics of the mentioned exhibition seem to think that “Communicating with diplomats is always a struggle, even if it takes friendly forms.” (Hermann Hesse). But not to all, but only to some of them.

In diplomacy, as the art of settling international differences by peaceful means, even if there is none, when it seems or imagines to you that there is a problem which seems insoluble to you, say because you are the weaker, if not the more uncultured side, first of all try to think as much as you can, and if you find it necessary also in discussion and negotiation, expand the context. As for whether, through ignorance, anyone says things inconsistent with the story, that is at his own expense. And if, despite knowing, he talks nonsense, even worse for him. Here we will not expand on the topic of Glagolitic and Cyrillic, who, when, where, who created it, about the Preslav, Ohrid and Tarnovska literary schools and their numerous representatives, but in just two words we will pay attention to the need to distinguish between language and writing. Over 6,000 languages are spoken in the countries of the world. The most in Papua New Guinea – only there 839. Whether and what other scripts with these many languages possibly use incl. the cannibals there, apart from the Latin for English, which is the official state language as part of the British Commonwealth for H.W. Elizabeth II’s Papua New Guineans, is a separate matter – it’s no business of ours to interfere with theirs. Not to mention countless other countries, the peoples of which speak different languages - in Europe about 225, – but use the same script as a common human cultural value, without claims from anyone for its ownership. By the way, after the successful implementation of the European Year of Languages in 2001, the Council of Europe declared September 26 as the European Day of Languages, which has been celebrated annually since then. But look, as soon as the Russian said that he was using the script created by Cyril and Methodius, adapted by Clement and their other students in Bulgaria, without beating a drum or asking whether he could or could not, and despite showing respect by congratulating on the occasion of the holiday, apart from writing the brightest and the Bulgarian language and literature, let’s invite ourselves like Armand Jean du Plessis, Cardinal de Richelieu: “Give me but six lines written by the hand of the most honest man, and I will find in them enough to hang him.”! Is that your culture!? And in case you are about to go to war, you chatter your lips and grind your teeth. Then it would not be superfluous but to remember the recommendation from the hymn “spiritually subdue the countries…!”to listen to the words of Aristotle: “It is not enough to win the war. It is more important to organize peace.”
