Scheduled by the Culture Vianne en Albret association, the Tulle Jazz Ensemble will perform in Vianne on Sunday April 2 at 3 p.m. in the Jourdain-de-l’Isle room.
An exceptional musical event, an eclectic repertoire representative of large ensemble jazz music. The Jazz Ensemble of Tulle is the big band of the Conservatory with departmental influence of Tulle since 1997.
Twenty musicians make up this orchestra, saxophones, trombones, trumpets, basses, drums, guitars, pianos and vocals. The whole is under the direction of Thierry Chèze, jazz teacher, himself on the saxophone. The big band performs regularly in Limousin, but also in France and abroad, Germany, England, Spain, Czech Republic, Portugal or Italy. The big band promises beautiful musical moments through different universes, from the 1940s, from the jazz swing era to the present day.
A varied repertoire, covers of the greatest classics of swing, Count Basie or Duke Ellington as well as more current compositions in Latin or funk style. In the first part, the Medium Band will perform, in total more than 35 musicians will play on the stage of the Salle Jourdain-de-l’Isle in Vianne.
