The two-week cumulative morbidity rate per 100,000 population decreased from 105.5 to 103.6 cases. The last time this indicator was lower was recorded on October 23 last year – 97.4, while the last time less than 40 cases of Covid-19 per day were detected on September 29 last year.
Last day, a total of 3159 Covid-19 tests were performed in Latvia, and the proportion of positive cases compared to those tested has decreased from 1.5% to 1.3% compared to the previous day.
A total of 136,850 cases of Covid-19 infection have been registered in Latvia so far, but 2,496 cases of this disease have died.
The calculations of the agency LETA show that in the last two weeks a total of 1962 cases of Covid-19 have been detected in Latvia. The other infected are considered to be infected.
On June 21 last year, no cases of Covid-19 disease or related deaths were registered in Latvia during the day.
