However, at the last concert before his birthday had Paul unexpected visit…
Before he Beatleswanted to start the song “Birthday”, the musician asked the crowd if it was someone’s birthday – and received a surprising answer: Jon Bon Jovi (60) came on stage behind him. “I know it’s someone’s birthday. Welcome to New Jersey, I’ve got 50,000 people who want to sing you Happy Birthday”the Bon Jovi frontman greeted the amazed Paul in his hometown and presented him with balloons. The assembled crowd then sang for the artist, whereby Jon took over the lead vocals.
But the rocker wasn’t the only guest at the concert. After the birthday song, Bruce Springsteen (72), also from New Jersey, appeared and played a few songs with the birthday boy. “To 80 More Years of Glory Days”he exclaimed at the end of the duet.
