Last season, you had the opportunity to attend seven chamber song matinees on the stage of the Estates Theatre, prepared by the opera ensemble of the National Theatre. The matinee was dedicated to the songwriting of Czech composers.
This year too, the first matinee follows the celebrations of the Year of Czech Music 2024 and on September 28, symbolically the Day of Czech Statehood, the soloists of the National Theater Opera Ensemble Jana Sýkorová, Jukiko Kinjo and Radek Martinec will present songs by Czech composers A. Dvořák, Z. Fibich, K Kovařovice and others. Bronislav Procházka will accompany the soloist on the piano. Each recital is preceded by a short talk with dramaturg Beno Blachut Jr. and with Zdenek Klauda, head of music preparation of the ND Opera.
As in last season, this year too the audience is seated directly on the stage of the Stavovský theater in close proximity to the artists. And it is this mutual proximity of artists and spectators that enhances the experience of the compositions and brings an extraordinary musical experience. And when was the last time you stood in the places where WA Mozart himself walked? Take the opportunity and go to the song matinee on the morning of September 28. It will be worth it.
