On Saturday at the “Vico – De Vivo” launch of boats and inauguration of the engine room simulation laboratory

The launch of the newly acquired vessels by the Institute of Secondary Education is scheduled for Saturday 20 April “Vico – De Vivo” Of Agropoli as well as the inauguration of a new teaching laboratory. These are four vessels (three sailing boats and a tender) and an innovative green engine room simulation laboratory. They will be at the service of the school, directed by the director Teresa Paneand in particular of the students attending the address “Transport and logistics”.

The laboratories were created thanks to the PON-FESR funds relating to the public notice “Creation of “green”, sustainable and innovative laboratories for second level secondary schools with a hotel, agricultural, nautical and/or aeronautical orientation”, the total amount of which it was equal to euros 250mila euro.

«It deals with – declares the director Professor Teresa Pane – of teaching spaces structured on two levels: an engine room simulation environment, which integrates and completes the navigation laboratory already existing in the Institute and an outdoor laboratory environment aimed at sailing and electric propulsion navigation exercises, including the four floating units: Posidonia, Primula Palinuri, Leucosia and Nautilus, equipped to be real floating educational laboratories».

The program includes, starting from 10 am, the launching of the boats on the beach in front of the branch office of the Institute in Viale Kennedy Posidonia, Leukosia, Primula Palinuri e Nautilus. This will be followed by the inauguration of the green engine room simulation laboratory. Hence the intervention of the institutions.
