Giuseppe Verdi’s latest masterpiece, “Falstaff”, is at the center of the musical evening that Rai Cultura offers on Wednesday 3 February at 9.15 pm on Rai5. Recorded at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège in 2009, the show sees the great bass-baritone Ruggero Raimondi in the title role. With him Luca Salsi, Virginia Tola, Sabina Puértolas, Tiberio Simu, Cinzia De Mola, Liliana Mattei, Gregory Bonfatti, Pietro Picone and Luciano Montanaro. The visionary direction is entrusted to Stefano Poda, while the musical direction is by Paolo Arrivabeni.
