A asteroid as big as a skyscraper is observed approaching Earth. In fact, on March 25, it will be closer than Earth’s distance from the Moon.
The space rock in question, that is 2023 DZ2. According to EarthSky, as quoted from Space, Friday (24/03/2023) the asteroid is currently traveling at a speed of 17,426 mph or 28,044 km per hour.
And, distance asteroid 2023 DZ2 it will get closer to Earth. The asteroid, which has a diameter of about 44-99 meters, will be at its closest distance the day after tomorrow.
It was first discovered by astronomers at the La Palma Observatory, in the Canary Islands, in February 2023. 2023 DZ2 is known as an Apollo class asteroid because it crosses Earth’s orbit.
It is not yet known where the large asteroid came from. When viewed from the occurrence of asteroids approaching Earth, 2023 DZ2 is expected to come from the asteroid belt which is in the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.
If 2023 DZ2 crashes into the Earth’s surface, the impact could be even greater peristiwa Chelyabinsk which exploded over Russia in 2013.

Having learned that 2023 DZ2 poses no threat to Earth, the NASA Center for Near Earth Studies Sentry program is currently monitoring 24 known objects with a low probability of hitting Earth in the next century.
