6:20 – V Germany there were 4056 new cases of coronavirus infection on Sunday. A week ago it was 3111 infections. The seven-day incidence, which expresses how many people became infected per 100,000 inhabitants per week, rose to 74.4. The day before it was 72.7 and a week ago 66.5.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,377,845 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus in Germany’s 83 million people. Of these, 94,628 people died, ten of them in the last day.

6:16 – Thousands of children are in an Australian city Sydney on Monday, after almost four months of distance learning, they returned to school. Full-time teaching was resumed in kindergartens, in the first classes and also in the final years of secondary schools, in which pupils prepare for graduation. The four-month strict coronavirus closure ended in Sydney a week ago after inoculation of 70 percent of the population. Further easing of the measures was made possible by the high vaccination coverage of the people of Sydney and the rest of the state of New South Wales. In the last 24 hours, 265 new infections were reported, while at the beginning of September there were up to 1599 a day.

6:11 – From Monday, people will be able to receive a booster third dose of covid-19 vaccination six months after the last dose. So far, the minimum interval has been eight months. By the end of October, over a million people in the Czech Republic will be entitled to this vaccination, and 3.2 million at the end of the year.

The shortening of the interval at the beginning of October was recommended by experts from the Vaccinological Society and a clinical group of the Ministry of Health. The possibility of revaccination after six months with the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine for people over 18 years of age has been approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

Until now, health care workers and seniors, who were among the first to be vaccinated against covid, were entitled to the booster dose. 41,500 people got it on Saturday. At the end of October, about a million people should be entitled to a booster dose.
