By the end of October, over a million people in the Czech Republic will be entitled to this vaccination, and 3.2 million at the end of the year.

The shortening of the interval at the beginning of October was recommended by experts from the Vaccinological Society and a clinical group of the Ministry of Health. The possibility of revaccination after six months with the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine for people over 18 years of age has been approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

Until now, health care workers and seniors, who were among the first to be vaccinated against covid, were entitled to the booster dose. 41,500 people got it on Saturday. At the end of October, about a million people should be entitled to a booster dose.
