Most of the streams in the Moravian-Silesian region exceeded the 3rd flood level – a state of danger – during the night from Saturday to Sunday. The extreme flood point was exceeded in several places across the county. Further evacuations were ordered in a number of cities and towns.

The Moravian-Silesian Region is among the regions most affected by extremely heavy rainfall. The governor of the region, Josef Bělica, has therefore declared a state of danger in the Moravian-Silesian Region from 1 p.m. today, based on information from representatives of the rescue system, the Odra Basin and the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute.
