6:15 – USA develop a mechanism to resume travel from abroad to the United States, requiring almost all passengers to complete vaccination. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the United States has closed its borders to foreigners from many countries. Under the current measures, people who have resided in China, the Schengen area of free movement, which includes the Czech Republic, Britain, Ireland, Brazil, South Africa and India, cannot travel to the USA in the last 14 days.

The mechanism is being prepared by the Biden administration, a source from the White House said. He noted that re-enabling travel would help airlines and tourism, but that due to increasing cases of covid-19 and the contagious delta variant, the United States was not prepared to lift travel restrictions altogether in the foreseeable future.
