Kabyle singer Idir died at the age of 70 this Saturday in Paris. He had been hospitalized the day before and died of lung disease.
Since then, many stars have paid tribute to him. “The great voice of Kabylia is leaving … I had the honor of sharing with this man of peace ‘the tears of their fathers’. This duo and this meeting will remain engraved. Goodbye sir”, for example tweeted Patrick Bruel.
Kendji Girac, also marked by Idir’s talent, paid tribute to him via social networks. The young man seized his Instagram account to post a photo of the principal concerned and noted in caption: “A legend has left us, your songs will remain forever Idir.”
A few days earlier, the former candidate of The Voice had posted on this same account, a video of his father, playing his guitar and had taken advantage of this moment, to send a clear message: “I am lucky to be in confinement with my father. We must take advantage of these family moments.”
Followed by more than 1.6 million people on Insta, Kendji does not hesitate, like many people, to encourage the French to be vigilant and tries as best he can to entertain them. Especially in music.
