On immigration, Macron should recall the advice of Georges Marchais » PACA economic and political letter

The Government presented the future draft law on immigration which, apparently, aims at the efficiency of deportations.

An immigration inventory shows that Macron, like his predecessors, did not pursue a firm immigration policy.

His reversal on visa reductions, to the benefit of Maghreb countries, illustrates a flagrant lack of firm doctrine on the matter. Macron mistakenly thought that his pseudo-firmness would force Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia to take back their compatriots, in an illegal situation, expelled from France. It’s missed!

And Macron was obliged to restore consular relations with these 3 countries. This (expected) reversal confirms the government’s incompetence to deport undocumented migrants. And, from Holland, the famous OQTF (Obligations to Leave French Territory) are a great masquerade!

After the murder of little Lola, Darmanin invoked the difficulties of applying the OQTF. Hence his idea of simplifying the procedure, going from twelve to four possibilities of appeal.

On the same theme, Dussopt and Darmanin want to encourage the acceptance of professional immigration, supposed to help sectors that are said to be in tension. Another false good idea that will only lead to the opening of legal immigration, as well as student visas and family reunification! Rather than facilitating the entry of thousands of migrants into France, we give work to our 6 million people far from employment.

Who still remembers the advice of Georges Marchais who in 1981 called for a limitation of immigration, perceived as detrimental to workers’ rights and conditions? : « Due to the presence in France of several million immigrant workers and members of their families, the prosecution of immigration poses serious problems today. Official and illegal immigration must be stopped. We believe that all workers are brothers, regardless of where they were born. But in the current crisis, immigration is a means for the bosses and the government to aggravate unemployment, low wages, bad working conditions, repression against workers, both immigrants and French. This is why we say: we must stop immigration, otherwise we will throw out the new workers”.

Facilitating the entry of migrant workers into France serves to satisfy the left (which calls for the regularization of illegal immigrants) and to give some crumbs to the right.

In short, the bill on immigration is already at risk. Because we cannot, at the same time, expel and regularize illegal immigrants. President of the republican right, Ciotti will reject the project that does not correspond to the policy that must be pursued.

Manuel Valls, the former socialist prime minister, said immigration to France had to be stopped, family reunification prohibited. But no one listened to him. His speech is too similar to that of Marine Le Pen.
