It is reported that at 11:15 when climbing Hoverla, one person died and two received injuries of varying degrees of severity.
“As of 13:30, rescuers are lowering a tourist with a leg injury from the mountain, at the same time, rescuers are heading to another injured person. National police officers are following the deceased to conduct investigative actions,” the report says.
The mobile task force of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, detachments of the Zaroslyak post, the villages of Vorokhta and Verkhovyna, as well as the cities of Yaremche and Ivano-Frankivsk were involved in the rescue work.
