Ten days before the big start of the 24th edition, on Sunday March 20, around fifty runners had responded to Thierry Mommessin’s invitation to discover the course (a 10 km circuit to be completed twice).
Led by the chrono regulators, they set off in ideal weather from the “virtual” starting line: temperature around 15°C, bright sunshine and no wind. “This recognition is intended to be a warm-up or even a training session. The pace is really easy: it is above all a question of becoming familiar with the route”, explains Thierry Mommessin, the president of the “GO”, at the initiative of the operation.
For the moment, about 1,200 participants have already registered for the 24th edition, including 650 for the semi alone (two other events are on the program: the 10 km of Aclam and the 5 km of L’Echo).
In focus: getting closer to the participation record which had flirted with the 2,500 runners. It was in 2019. In the time of recklessness…
