The average number of infections per day also continues to decline: 80 infections per day were observed this week, compared to 96 the week before, a decrease of 16 percent. The number of hospital admissions fell by 26 percent.
On average, nearly 5 people per day died of covid-19 in the past week, also a decrease of 25 percent from a week earlier. In total, 9,771 people have now died.
There were still 168 people in the hospital on Friday, July 3. That figure also continues to decline steadily. 32 people are on intensive care.
