On April 13, vaccination will begin in Guayaquil with doses of Sinovac, within the Municipality-Government agreement | Community | Guayaquil

A batch of 1,300 doses will start that day at the ITB.

On Tuesday, April 13, the vaccination process against COVID-19 would begin in an agreement between the Municipality and the national government, which includes the immunization of 1,800,000 inhabitants.

With a batch of 1,300 doses of Sinovac, it is planned to begin the inoculation process at the appropriate point of care at the Bolivarian Technical Institute (ITB), in the north of Guayaquil.

Dr. Carlos Salvador, Director of Health of the Municipality of Guayaquil, explained that it has been coordinated so that there are stages-processes of pre-vaccination, where the lists drawn up by the National Telecommunications Corporation (CNT), and a call center of the Municipality will also complement the call.

He added that the Municipality will have the space so that in addition to taking vital signs, complementary check-ups can be carried out.

And in the vaccination area, the fingering and later the inoculation of the first dose of Sinovac will be done.

In the post-vaccination period, the person will have to wait 30 minutes for any subsequent reaction.

In this area they also complement the care of professionals from private clinics at each point with resuscitation equipment and an ambulance.

For next Monday the doses of this vaccine are expected to arrive to start with what is scheduled. (I)
