On a literary stroll, “Van New York tot Viroinval”

Hans Vanden Berghe has visited many parts of the world during his career as a steward, but when he discovered the Viroin valley, he immediately felt at home. He decided to tell his region of heart through the book “Van New York tot Viroinval”. He deals with many subjects: nature, history, daily life, living together,… A book written in the language of Vondel to put in the hands of those who want to discover or rediscover the region.

The program for the day is as follows.

8h30 : Reception in the Cafeteria of the Espace Arthur Masson and breakfast offered.

9h : Start of the walk

The group will go to the Matignolles farm and the January cave, before returning through the Ry valley.

10h30 : Return to the Arthur Masson space for the presentation of the book “Van New York tot Viroinval” by the author + presentation of Toine Culot’s book “Uit het leven van een ardeense dikzak”.

A review walk for students on the eve of exams, a family outing to rediscover the beautiful village of Treignes, two good reasons to take part in this “tweetalig” outing.

12h : Friendship Glass

The “Trignolles” show route will be accessible for visits in the afternoon.

Espace Arthur Masson – rue Eugène Defraire, 29 – 5670 Treignes. Free. Info: 060/310160
