In the Dutch province of Gelderland, a curious incident occurred – a goat and a rooster protected a chicken from a hawk attack. The farmer was in the house when he heard a suspicious noise in the street.
The published footage shows how the hawk literally knocks the chicken to the ground and tries to drag it away. But at this moment a rooster rushes to the aid of the bird. Soon the goat also gets involved in a fight, writes New York Post (to watch the video, scroll the page to the end).

Jaap Bits, a 59-year-old farm owner, said other animals on the farm surrounded the affected bird to allow it to fully recover.
“I was so proud that the rooster and the goat rushed to protect our hen. And then I was very relieved when I saw that she survived,” the man said.
Beats noted that his goats and turkeys have already rushed twice to save chickens from attacks by wild birds.
