OMV Petrom: Demand for petroleum products has returned to pre-pandemic levels: Europa FM

OMV Petrom claims, in a report, that the demand for petroleum products has returned to the level before the Covid pandemic.

The group’s retail sales volumes increased by 17% compared to 1-6 / 20, reflecting the relaxation of mobility restrictions, according to Ziarului Financiar.

OMV Petrom ended the first half of the year with revenues of 10 billion lei, the same as in the same period last year, and with a net profit of 980 million lei, 13% higher than the first six months of 2020.

“The value of consolidated sales revenues of 10,126 million lei in 1-6 / 21 increased slightly by 1% compared to 1-6 / 20, mainly due to better market prices for petroleum products and electricity, offsetting lower sales volumes gas and electricity. Downstream Oil sales accounted for 77% of total consolidated sales, Downstream Gas sales accounted for 21% and Upstream sales for 1% (Upstream sales were largely intra-Group sales, not third parties). For the first six months of the year, the group had an investment budget of 1.2 billion lei, 23% lower than the same period last year.
