“I recently had text message contact with Omtzigt and he is willing to have a conversation,” said Rutte at Nieuwsuur last night.

According to the CDA MP, it is slightly different, he writes on Twitter. “Mark Rutte informed me by text yesterday that he would like a meeting with me, preferably next Friday.” Omtzigt says he is not ready for that yet:

“I hoped to be able to return to work sooner, but my recovery is slower than hoped due to the continuous flow of cases around my person,” the MP explains. “That’s why I don’t tweet for a while because I’m really trying to get some rest,” continues Omtzigt. “Especially on social media.”
Formation crisis
Pieter Omtzigt played an important role in the formation after notes about him were placed on the street stating ‘function Elsewhere’. Rutte initially denied having spoken about Omtzigt, but when all the reports of the scouts had been revealed, he had to admit that he had brought up Omtzigt.
“That was a big mistake,” said Rutte yesterday evening about the issue that led to a formation crisis. Rutte especially wants to know where the anger of the CDA member is. View all highlights from the conversation at Nieuwsuur here:
