TJ was the most talked about film of 2021 even though it was an OTT release. Jai Bheem directed by Jnanvel. Suriya, Lijo Mol and Manikandan have played the lead roles in the film which is now making headlines again. It is because of a conflict scene that was removed from the film.
This is the scene of conflict that was added at one place in Jai Bhima. Surya’s character Chandru’s mass action scene can be seen in the video. It is reported that Suriya himself asked the director to remove this scene from the film. This scene was omitted so that the audience’s attention would not be diverted from the characters played by Lijomol and Manikandan in the film.
The reactions on social media are that Surya’s decision was 100 percent correct. The audience is of the opinion that there is no need for such an action scene in this film and the intensity of the subject being put forward by the film would have been lost.
The theme of the movie was the struggle for justice of a tribal girl named Sengini after her husband died due to police beating. The performance of the Malayalee actor Lijomol, who came as Senkini, was the talk of the day. The performance of Manikandan and Tamil who played the role of a policeman also got attention. Director Gnanavel himself wrote the screenplay.
Before this, an action scene of Suriya was removed from the movie Soorarai Potr. That too was according to Surya’s own instructions. This movie is directed by Sudha Konkara. Soorarai Potr also came as an OTT release.
