-There is a strong suspicion that Bodø has had its first case of omicron infection, says chief infection control doctor Ole Kristian Losvik in Bodø municipality. The person in question has been infected by covid during a business trip in Eastern Norway.
-The test of the person in question has been sent for sequencing, and we can not state with one hundred percent that this applies to omicron, but we handle it as if it is the new virus variant, says Losvik.
A total of 22 new cases of covid-19 have been registered in Bodø in the last 24 hours.
-We are concerned about the development with increasing infection in the population, and we want to reinforce the advice we gave yesterday about events. They can go their separate ways, but we ask people to be careful. This means that you have to stay home if you are ill and wear a bandage where it is cramped, says Losvik and adds; keep distance when you can so you can be close whenever you want.
