Omicron Local Transmission Case Treated at RSPI SS, Here’s the Clinical Condition

The Ministry of Health announced the findings of local cases of Omicron in Indonesia. The patient is a Manado resident who regularly commutes to Jakarta.

The 37-year-old man is known to have no history of traveling abroad in recent months, nor close contact with Omicron patients. He is currently being treated at the Sulianti Saroso Hospital.

“Today we are updating one local case of Omicron in Indonesia so that as of Tuesday there were 47 cases of Omicron in Indonesia, 26 cases of which were imported cases and 21 cases of local transmission,” explained the Director of Prevention and Control of Directly Infectious Diseases (P2PML) of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, dr. Siti Nadia Tarmizi, Tuesday (12/28/2021).

“As a follow-up to what is currently being done, the Sulianti Saroso Hospital was evacuated,” continued Dr. Nadia.

“Actually, there are no symptoms until today. There are no special symptoms, yes, so this person is asymptomatic,” he concluded.

The patient in question tested positive for COVID-19 through the SGTF test.
