TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – A new variant of the corona virus, omicron, from the results of a recent study showed that it is more likely to infect parts of the upper respiratory tract, including the throat, than the lungs.
This makes this Omicron variant more easily transmitted even though it is not as deadly as other Covid-19 variants.
It can be easily transmitted because an infected person can expel millions of virus/viral load from the nasal cavity and throat/larynx pharynx, and can spray as far as 2m/6 feet.

“We need to apply the motto within ourselves “don’t get infected and don’t transmit,” said the former Indonesian Minister of Health, Dr. Achmad Sujudi, Wednesday (12/1/2022).
Despite assessing that the Government has been working hard to reduce the number of new cases of COVID-19 in Indonesia, especially towards the end of the year, in various ways.
Among other things, through the abolition of collective leave to prevent people from going on holidays which causes crowds and crowded tourist spots.
However, it turns out that this effort is still not optimal because at the beginning of 2022 the number of new Covid-19 cases has increased again.
This is in addition to the Covid-19 variant of the Omicron which has started to enter Indonesia.
