Ombudsman Maya Manolova and Association “Children with Oncohematological Diseases” organize a pajama party on the occasion of February 15 – International Day of Children with Oncohematological Diseases.
The aim of the initiative is to draw the attention of the public and responsible institutions to the problems of children with cancer, emphasizing the fact that during their treatment they spend a long time in pajamas in hospital rooms. The celebration will honor the courage, endurance and strength of children and adolescents fighting the serious illness.
The event will be held on February 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ombudsman’s Club, 22 George Washington St., 5th floor.
Official guests are representatives of the government, non-governmental organizations, the little artists from the National Children’s Palace.
The actor Nencho Balabanov will read a special story dedicated to the children’s struggle with the disease. Seven-year-old Ivanina Atanasova will donate her gorgeous hair to make a wig for a child with cancer.
Treats and drinks for the party are provided by “Kaufland Bulgaria”, KFC, “Marinella” Association, Zhana Velichkova – executive director of the Association of Non-Alcoholic Beverage Manufacturers in Bulgaria.
Each child will also receive a toy from the Bulgarian Red Cross.
