As a result of the crime, a minor became pregnant, and the perpetrator cannot be prosecuted for two years
A minor girl was raped in the burnt-out building of the Prosecutor General’s Office. This was reported in the press service of the Ombudsman Institute, commenting on the demand of the akiykatchy to the prosecutor’s office to respond to the delay in the investigation.
“Earlier, the girl’s grandfather, a resident of the Alamedin district B.M., turned to us,” they said. – He said that in August 2021, a certain A. raped his granddaughter, having previously lured her into the burned-out building of the Prosecutor General’s Office in Bishkek under the pretext of shooting a video for TikTok. The girl became pregnant and gave birth to a boy in 2022. On November 23, the girl’s grandfather applied to the Department of Internal Affairs of the Pervomaisky District, where a criminal case was opened under Article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. However, the investigator suspended the case last year, referring to the examination to establish the paternity of the child. Subsequently, the criminal case was never reopened. The child is currently being raised by the victim’s grandmother. The girl does not go to school after the rape. A 13-year-old girl suspected of rape at that time was not detained.”
The Ombudsman Institute asks the Pervomaisky District Prosecutor’s Office to give a legal assessment of the actions of the investigator of the Internal Affairs Directorate, as well as to check the legality of his request for an additional DNA test.
