This Saturday afternoon, The singer-songwriter and vallenato king Omar Geles Suárez was chosen Composer of the Year 2023 by the National Festival of Vallenata Music Composers of San Juan del Cesar, La Guajira.

The distinction was awarded to Geles Suárez after receiving the support of more than 50 stations, directors and announcers from all over the country, who placed their vote of confidence in this outstanding artist.
“The composer Omar Geles shone during the year 2023 with his various musical productions, also achieving the title of Song of the Year with the group ‘Los de Juancho’ and its success’How pretty, not at all“, explained the National Composers Festival in a statement.
At the same time, they congratulated the vallenato king for his talent and dedication that has left an indelible mark on the music scene, consolidating him as an outstanding reference in vallenato music.
Omar Geles is also the composer of the songs ‘La bebedora’ by Pillao Rodríguez, ‘La loca’ by Natalia Curvelo, ‘God’s favor’ by Ana del Castillo and ‘Dele que dele’ by Rafa Pérez.
