Al-Marsad newspaper: Former Al-Arabi Qatari and Al-Ahly player Omar Al-Somah broke his silence and revealed the behind-the-scenes of his departure from Al-Ahly club and the sudden termination of his contract, blaming the club for the way in which he was dismissed.

The other time, I told them, “No, I did not leave because of the money. There was a misunderstanding, and then I dissolved it and left my contract as it was. I sacrificed a lot of things for the club, so I did not expect them to dispense with me in this way. The least thing is to honor me and bid farewell to the fans of Al-Ahly Club, but you leave me in the club and go like this!”

He continued, explaining how he knew they wanted to let go of him: They traveled to the camp, and my name was not on the list, and no one spoke to me or told me where to train, so I called my agent and told him what the situation was so I could know what to do.

He concluded: I love Al-Ahly Club and its fans have a favor over me, God willing, and Saudi Arabia in general and those in charge of sports there have a favor. They are people who welcomed me and embraced me for 9 years, so it is difficult for me to complain.
