Private sources revealed to Al-Riyadhiya that the Syrian Omar Al-Soma had signed a financial clearance with Al-Ahly club in the last hours, on Wednesday.
The same sources indicated that Al-Ahly’s historic scorer in the Professional League waived the amount of one and a half million dollars, representing the remainder of the player’s previous financial dues with the club, and also waived his remaining salaries in the last year of his contract for the next season.
The sources also indicated that the 35-year-old will leave within 48 hours to Qatar for the official signing, after he fully agreed with the Qatari Al-Arabi Club.
And the Al-Ahly club management had excluded Omar Al-Soma from the list of the camp, the external team currently in Austria, and Al-Soma left Al-Ahly last season, moving to Al-Arabi Al-Qatari on a loan system and presented remarkable levels that forced the Al-Ahmar club managers to complete the negotiations to obtain his contract in full.
And the Al-Ahly administration had renewed Omar Al-Soma’s contract to 2024.
