Oman’s exports rise 59.6% in 10 months to 21.2 billion Omani riyals

The value of the Sultanate of Oman’s exports of oil and gas rose to 13.93 billion Omani riyals, or by 74.5% from the end of October 2021, which amounted to 7.98 billion Omani riyals, according to “Oman” newspaper.

Among oil and gas exports by the end of October 2022, the value of the Sultanate of Oman’s exports of crude oil amounted to 9.9 billion Omani riyals, recording an increase of 76.5% over the same period of the previous year. The value of refined oil exports rose to 1.5 billion Omani riyals, by 52.9%. The value of the Sultanate of Oman’s exports of liquefied natural gas amounted to 2.39 billion Omani riyals, or 82.8%, compared to the end of October 2021, which amounted to 1.3 billion Omani riyals.

Statistics issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information revealed a growth in the value of non-oil commodity exports by 47.8% by the end of October 2022, to reach 6.2 billion Omani riyals, compared to the end of October 2021, when it recorded 4.19 billion Omani riyals.

Mineral products had the highest value of non-oil commodity exports, reaching RO 1.8 billion by the end of October 2022, up by 186.5% over the same period of the previous year, followed by ordinary metal products and their products with RO 1.25 billion, an increase of 23.4%, compared to 1.01. One billion Omani riyals at the end of October 2021, then the products of the chemical industries, with an export value of 1.19 billion Omani riyals, an increase of 25.7% compared to 949.5 million Omani riyals at the end of October 2021.

The value of the Sultanate of Oman’s exports of plastic and its products, rubber and its products increased to 960.8 million Omani riyals, or by 34.3% until the end of last October, compared to 715.2 million Omani riyals recorded at the end of October 2021, and exports of live animals and their products increased by 36.3%, to reach 266.8 million Omani riyals. Compared to 195.8 million Omani riyals recorded at the end of October 2021. The value of exports of other products amounted to 688.9 million Omani riyals until the end of October 2022.

The value of re-exports from the Sultanate of Oman decreased to RO 1.07 billion, or by 3.3%, at the end of October 2022, compared to RO 1.11 billion at the end of October 2021.

The statistics indicated that mineral products acquired the largest value of the merchandise imports of the Sultanate of Oman, as it recorded 3.8 billion Omani riyals by the end of last October, an increase of 117.6% compared to the same period in 2021, which amounted to 1.7 billion Omani riyals, followed by machinery, appliances, electrical equipment and their parts. 1.7 billion Omani riyals, recording a growth of 5.7% by the end of October 2022, compared to the same period of the previous year.

The United States of America topped the trade exchange in non-oil exports, and its value at the end of October 2022 amounted to about 748.8 million Omani riyals, an increase of 58.9% from the end of October 2021, when it amounted to 471.1 million Omani riyals, followed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a value of 686.5 million Omani riyals, and an increase The percentage is 50.9%, then the United Arab Emirates with a value of 648.9 million Omani riyals, India with a value of 622.3 million Omani riyals, and Qatar with a value of 296.3 million Omani riyals, an increase of 57.6% over the same period in 2021 AD.
