Omani Citizens Abroad Exercise Voting Rights in 10th Majlis Shura Elections

Omani citizens outside the country cast their votes in the 10th Oman Majlis Shura elections. Omani citizens outside the country exercised their right to consent through electronic voting.

Voting time for citizens was from 8 am to 7 pm on Sunday. More than 13,000 Omani citizens outside Oman voted, according to the Ministry of Interior.

9,230 men and 4,613 women living abroad voted. Majlis Shura elections will be held in Oman on 29th of this month. 90 Majlis Shura members are elected from 83 provinces. 883 candidates are seeking election this time. 33 of them are women. The Supreme Election Committee manages the Majlis Shura election activities.
