Muscat: Oman releases 162 prisoners on the occasion of Prophet’s Day. The action follows the order issued by Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, the ruler of Oman, to grant amnesty to deserving prisoners. They are in jail for various crimes. 94 of those who will be released are non-residents. The Royal Oman Police (ROP) announced that a total of 162 prisoners will be released soon by royal decree.

Qatar Malayali Conference: Organizations with support
Doha: Leaders of various organizations in Doha have announced their support for the 8th Qatar Malayali Conference to be held on November 2 and 3. The decision was made by the organization’s leadership meeting held as part of the conference.
All the main Malayali organization leaders in Qatar attended the meeting. The meeting chaired by Jutas Paul was inaugurated by Sharaf P Hamid, Chairman of the Welcome Committee.
