Oman’s Supreme COVID-19 Committee has banned the entry of passengers from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh from Saturday, the official Oman News Agency reported.
The decision was taken as part of measures to curb the spread of the pandemic in the Gulf state, with the three countries joining the list of nations whose passengers are not allowed to travel to the Sultanate of Oman. .
Omani nationals, diplomats attached to embassies accredited in the sultanate, health professionals and their families are not affected by this decision.
The latest figures released Thursday by the Omani Ministry of Health show 185,278 infections, 165,051 recoveries and 1,942 deaths.
