We learned yesterday Thursday at the end of the evening that the meeting between OM and Stuttgart scheduled for Friday at 5 p.m. was canceled, Jordan Amavi having tested positive for Covid-19. The Olympian club did not wish to take any risk, by giving up on its last preparation match. The next meeting of the Marseillais will therefore be the reception of St Étienne at the Vélodrome on behalf of the first day of Ligue 1 (August 21 at 7 p.m. on Telefoot).
Upon arrival, OM will have seen two of their preparatory matches canceled due to coronavirus, against Montpellier and Stuttgart. It remains to be seen whether these two less trial runs will weigh when it comes time to resume the championship. To replace the match against Montpellier, André Villas-Boas had foreseen an opposition, but nothing however comparable to a match against a formation of the elite.
