OM Sends Email Alert to ‘Mr. Buio’ Downloaders

ANP extension

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Several people involved in the investigation of horror porn dealer Mr. Buio surfaced, he received an email notice from the police and prosecutors. These are downloaders and suppliers of violent pornography, child pornography and animal pornography. Possession of this is a criminal offence.

Last June, Michael M. (35), operating under the alias of Mr. Dark, sentenced to ten years in prison and TBS with forced treatment. The Barendrechter pressured minors online to perform sexual acts on camera. He also raped a girl several times. Furthermore, M. ran sites on the dark web, a difficult-to-access part of the internet, where child and animal pornography was offered.

When M. was arrested, computers were seized and dark web sites were taken offline. The investigation unearthed several email addresses of people who downloaded videos on M sites. They either paid for it or traded new material for it.

Remove material

In the warning email, the police and the Public Prosecutor’s Office formulate a strong request for the removal of all criminal material. Recipients are also advised not to commit further criminal acts. They are also informed that their email address is in the police and judiciary system.

A prosecutor’s spokesman cannot say what the consequences could be for those involved, such as whether they will be prosecuted. This is partly because their identities are not always known.
