OM imposes a school fine of 22,000 euros after an accident with a student’s hand Inland

According to the Public Prosecution Service, the machine did not have the necessary security and the school violated the safety regulations from the Working Conditions Act. The school also did not take into account that it still concerned young pupils and the information and supervision were insufficient. According to the Public Prosecution Service, the school did not immediately report the accident to the Social Affairs and Employment Inspectorate (ISZW). The school already paid a fine of 4,500 euros to the inspectorate for this.

In determining the fine, the Public Prosecution Service took into account that the school now uses more modern machines and that the accident has led to extra attention for the safety of the machines at the school.
