OM demands thirty years for shooting homeless man in van with drugs | NOW

The Public Prosecution Service (OM) on Thursday demanded thirty years in prison against a 51-year-old man from Diemen who is being prosecuted for shooting a 19-year-old homeless man in a van. Raymildo Landveld had seen the van parked with the key and taken it with him, but did not know that the vehicle was used for drug transports.

In a hidden space of the van was 1 kilo of cocaine. The ignorant Landveld saw above all a useful shelter in the vehicle, since he himself had no permanent place to sleep.

According to the Public Prosecution Service, suspect Maikel A. has been tipped off about where Landveld was driving the van. “He chased the bus and then started shooting at a car coming out of nowhere from the Krootstraat – where the van just drove into -” said the public prosecutor. In this car was a couple that had nothing to do with the van. They could barely hide.

According to the OM, A. then shot a friend with whom the victim was driving around and then killed Landveld. Landvel’s friend was injured. “There was no altercation or conversation, no attempt was made to take the bus to see who was actually in it. the bus.”

A. is charged with the murder of the homeless person, an attempted murder for shooting his friend and a double attempted murder for shooting at the passers-by.

The OM also thinks that A. was involved in drug trafficking. In the investigation, two sea containers were found containing a cocaine laundry and items such as cutting agents. In the demand, the public prosecutor ends up with a maximum temporary prison sentence of thirty years.
