OM demands 14 years for shooting friend Duivendrecht: ‘An execution as you see it in thrillers’ | Inland

According to the prosecutor, Abdallah M. shot 34-year-old Seif Ahmed because of money. Egyptian barber Ahmed left much of his saved money with his best friend, who would help him set up his own barbershop. Ahmed himself had insufficient mastery of the Dutch task and did not know exactly how to realize his dream in the Netherlands.

It never came to the purchase of a property and own business. In the summer of 2019, Seif Ahmed’s patience ran out. He wanted his money back to do other things, but Abdallah M. kept him on the line. Logical, according to the prosecutor. “Abdallah M. lived on that money, he no longer had it and could therefore not return it. He felt Seif’s hot breath on his neck.”

On October 1, 2019, Seif Ahmed met with Abdallah M.. The last sign of life was a phone call in which Seif Ahmed told his mother in Egypt that he was in the car with M. and waiting for his money back. He sounded anxious, his mother said. That was about ten past five. A few minutes later he was no longer alive.

According to the officer, Abdallah M. was guilty of “an execution as you see them in thrillers and war films. Purely for financial reasons, he led the victim to a secluded spot, sat in the car with him for an hour, and accidentally killed him with a cunning gunshot to the head, while a little girl sat in the back seat. Cold and cold-blooded.”

After his act, Abdallah M. faked a suicide by holding the firearm in Seif Ahmed’s hands. He also sent him a “calculating” message, according to the officer. The toddler was left in the car with her dead father.

Abdallah M. has always denied having anything to do with the death of his friend. The court will rule in two weeks.
