OM: conspiracy theorist Wouter Raatgever planned escape from cell | Inland

The public prosecutor called the plans “concrete.” “The letter also shows that he still adheres to his ideas.” It is not known whether the man planned to escape from prison or from the Pieter Baan Center (PBC), where he will soon be examined.

The man’s lawyer stated that the letter was dated 20 November. “So it’s old news, what’s in that letter. He is now looking forward to the distraction that the PBC offers.”

Slander and libel

Conspiracy theorist Raatgever was sentenced last year to a prison sentence of nine months, three of which were conditional, for inciting and threatening RIVM director Jaap van Dissel, among others. He was held in his cell at the end of September on new, similar charges and defamation and slander.

Conspiracy theorist Joost Knevel also appeared in court on Thursday. Knevel, who grew up in Bodegraven, is convinced that he was abused in his youth by Van Dissel and a doctor in Bodegraven and that he witnessed satanic infanticide. His unfounded story was embraced and further distributed by Raatgever and Micha Kat in videos on the online platform Red Pill Journal, in which Knevel also participated.

Despite requests for suspension of the pre-trial detention from the defense, both Knevel and Raatgever remain in prison longer. At the previous session in December, the Public Prosecution Service expressed the hope that Kat would now also be present. He is still in a cell in Northern Ireland, where his extradition is being looked into in April.
