Olympics: USA Hockey have invited 15 players to represent the United States in Beijing

Fifteen players have been invited by USA Hockey to represent the United States at the next Olympic hockey tournament in Beijing, reporters Frank Seravalli and Chris Peters of the specialized site report Daily Faceoff.

The list is not official and other players will be added, adds Seravalli. The rights of seven of these players belong to NHL clubs, including forward Matty Beniers, selected 2nd overall by the Seattle Kraken in the last draft on the Bettman Circuit.

Nathan Smith (Minnesota State, NCAA) – Jets

Defenders

Brock Faber (Minnesota, NCAA) – Kings
Drew Helleson (Boston College, NCAA) – Avalanche
Steven Kampfer (Ak Bars Kazan, KHL)
Aaron Ness (Providence, LAH)
Jake Sanderson (North Dakota, NCAA) – Sénateurs
