The 5th place in the women’s skeet final was occupied by Emmanuela Katzouraki, with the Greek shooter completing her first participation in the Olympic Games with 23/30 successful shots. Regarding the refereeing decisions, she said: “This happened to two of my other female athletes as well. He broke the plate and the referees just didn’t see it. It was a rather small piece for me. To the other girls it was too big a piece. They should have given it. Whether the plate breaks completely or a small piece is gone the plate is broken and they just didn’t see it.
It definitely threw me off a bit. Of course, it wasn’t my fault that I lost right after the dish. The truth is we’ve seen it before.
It certainly wasn’t bad. I’m missing something and I’m asking for more, but I’m sure it will come next time.”
