Great political success for Italy: Federica Pellegrini was the third most voted athlete for the election to the IOC athletes commission. Faith received 1658 votes, the most voted was the Spanish basketball player Pau Gasol with 1888 votes. In second place Maya Martina Wloszczowska (Poland, cycling), in fourth the Japanese foil player Ota.
