Olympics: Osmar Olvera qualifies for the 3m springboard semi-finals, Kevin Muñoz eliminated | TUDN Ambassadors

Osmar Olvera finished only behind China’s Zongyuan Wang and Siyi Xie, as well as Britain’s Jack Laugher and Jordan Houlden after six complete dives each.

Mexican Kevin Muñoz remained in the qualifying zone until the fifth dive, in the last one he fell to nineteenth position, so he will remain as a reserve and will compete in the Semifinals in case any diver gets injured.

Jonathan Ruvalcaba was born in Mexico City, formerly the Federal District, so he is Mexican by birth; however, he decided to represent the Dominican Republic and this Tuesday, August 6, he qualified as 18th for the 3m springboard Semifinals at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Ruvalcaba won bronze for the Mexican delegation at the Pan American Games in Toronto in 2015, but for the Santiago 2023 edition he won silver as a representative of the Dominican Republic.

The 3m Springboard Semifinals will be this Wednesday, August 7 at 2:00 a.m. Central Mexico Time, 4:00 a.m. Eastern Time. The Final is one day later at 7:00 a.m. Central Mexico Time, 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time.
