To the question of what is the value of a medal from the Olympic Games – specifically from Paris – the answer is probably the expected one, and it cannot be determined since it is the dream of athletes, many countries and the wish of most.
Contrary to their name, Olympic gold medals are no longer made entirely of gold. This was the norm until the Stockholm Olympics in 1912. But money-saving policies after World War I meant that from Antwerp in 1920, the amount of gold that made up the medals was reduced. We should also note that a lot of events were added, which made it unreal to have so much gold!
But this does not mean that they are made of random metal, gold-plated or silver-plated! On the contrary, it is also heavy!

- the gold medals they consist of 523 grams of silver, plated with 6 grams of gold.

These metal pieces were removed from the Eiffel tower during various modernization projects over the years and then preserved by the Authorities.
The decision to associate the Olympic award with the symbol of the French capital was made by a committee of athletes, chaired by French biathlon legend Martin Fourcade.
Their Value in “metal”
While the value of the iron piece of the Eiffel Tower is priceless, the products used to create the Olympic medals have specific prices.
Excluding the value of the iron part of the Eiffel Tower, which is located in the center of one side of each Olympic medal, you estimate that the value of each gold medal of the Paris Olympics is more than a thousand dollars – precisely 1,027 US dollars, while the silver and copper (the metals) are worth $535 and $4.6, respectively.
As can be understood above all others and their value is great – for Gold and Silver – and this year’s medals have an invaluable historical piece of the city that organized them.
