After some doubts in the first semester due to new waves in the COVID-19 pandemic, especially back in April and May, finally the year that passed marked the definitive return of the sport.
It was played again after a critical 2020, with a lot of uncertainty as in other planes of daily life. That is why we believe that this was, without a doubt, the highest achievement for Argentine and Bahian sports in particular.
Within this new normal that most amateur activities recovered -the professionals saw the need to play as outside and generated a bubble system- the maximum event worldwide was the realization of the postponed Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. of our city filled us with pride as we stepped onto the podium to embrace glory.
These were the outstanding achievements of the Bahian sport in the past year:
-Football
Local
* Liniers beat Huracán in the extra final and champion of the Official Tournament of the Southern League was crowned. El Chivo won 3 to 1 on the Olimpo court and made the Olympic return for the second consecutive year.
Liniers was left with all the glory in the main category of league football.
* Comercial beat Libertad, 2 to 1, and was consecrated as the best of the League Promotional Tournament, thus achieving promotion to the elite of domestic football.

* Almost at the end of the year, Olimpo announced an unprecedented institutional step for the Bahian sport by confirming that it will have a secondary school, which will bear the name Colegio Americano del Club Olimpo.

* After arduous work, the Automoto Club managed to inaugurate the official activity on the Antonio Miranda track of the Club Crisol, with the first International Speedway Championship in more than two years, and the prestigious presence of the Italian Paco Castagna.
* The Zonal Categories of the Southwest Regional Federation No. 3 They returned to compete at the Ezequiel Crisol Racetrack in Aldea Romana after more than 10 years of absence. A total of three competitions hosted the circuit of our city.

-Bowls
* Barrio Hospital crowned another brilliant year by obtaining the crown in First A Couples and Third Parties, after defeating La Armonía -in duets- and Olimpia, respectively, in very even finals. The Calle Estomba 1117 trio was made up of Marcelo Osores, Daniel Vitozzi and Danilo Escobar.
For their part, Speed and Endurance -Silvio Kaddour, Lautaro Escobar, Oscar Fidalgo and Rafael Randazzo- won the championship for promotion in triplets and will play in A next season.
