Rebecca Cheptegui set on fire by boyfriend
According to RTL News Rebecca Cheptegei was doused with petrol and set on fire by her partner in Kenya earlier this week. The incident is said to have taken place in the couple’s home in Trans Nzoia. The 33-year-old athlete had a house built there so she could train for her sport in the area. After Rebecca Cheptegei had attended a church service with her children, she was allegedly attacked by her partner at home. She was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but did not survive the attack.
Rebecca Cheptegui competed in the Olympic Games in Paris last month, where she finished 44th in the marathon.
